Missing Bride-to-Be Sherra de Juan Found Safe in Pangasinan, Police Confirm

After days of nationwide concern and viral online debate over whether she was kidnapped or had run away before her wedding, police have confirmed that missing bride-to-be Sherra de Juan has been found alive in Sison, Pangasinan, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.

How She Was Found

Police said a concerned citizen contacted Sherra’s family after spotting her in Pangasinan. The caller later confirmed her identity through a video call with her fiancé and sibling.

Officers from the Fairview Police Station, along with Sherra’s fiancé and family, immediately traveled to Pangasinan around noon to bring her home.

What Police Know So Far

Authorities said Sherra was staying at the home of the civilian who asked for help. As of now, police are still determining whether she left voluntarily or was taken, pending a full interview.

“She is alive and has shared some details, but her statements are not yet consistent,” QCPD said.

Wedding Plans and Disappearance

Sherra was supposed to marry her longtime partner Mark Arjay Reyes on December 14. She was last heard from on December 10, after telling Reyes she was heading to the mall to buy her wedding shoes. She never returned — and left her phone behind.

Witnesses later told police she boarded a bus along the Bulacan–NIA Road route, though her drop-off point remains unclear.

Not the First Disappearance

Investigators revealed this was not the first time Sherra went missing. A sworn statement from her maid of honor cited emotional, financial, and family struggles, confirming this was her second disappearance.

Family Asks for Privacy

Sherra’s family expressed relief and gratitude after she was found. Her father described the moment as overwhelming, while her brother shared that Sherra repeatedly apologized.

The family has asked for privacy as she returns home and recovers.
