After Alia Bhatt made some comments about her husband Ranbir Kapoor in a video for Vogue Magazine, her fans reported feeling "strange" and "concerned."

Viewers attacked Ranbir in the comments section, calling him a "red flag" for his presumably "toxic" behavior.

Hours after the viral uproar, Alia Bhatt discussed how to handle negativity and criticism. The actress answered a variety of questions during an Ask Me Anything on Instagram. The question "What's a great way to deal with toxicity and criticism?" was one of them. 

She wrote, "Constructive criticism is the best way to grow.. but words that are meant to hurt you can only hurt if you let them. No one can take (who you) are away from you. Cultivate a life so full of love and gratitude that toxicity wouldn’t even REACH you."
