Dadu Gardens, a unique feature of Dadu, Children's Museum of Qatar, was unveiled by Qatar Museums. The goal of Dadu Gardens, which will be accessible to the public starting on November 21, is to provide community members with artistic and educational opportunities.

To celebrate the official opening of Dadu Gardens, "The Promise", a work of public art by famous American artist KAWS was there. The Minister of Public Health, H E Dr. Hanan bint Muhammad Al Kuwari, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and the Minister of Social Development and Family, H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad were all present at the unveiling of the Dadu Gardens.

"The opening of Dadu Gardens, a lively area for kids and families in Qatar to learn and flourish, is a monumental occasion", according to Dr. Mohamed Al Sada, president of the Dadu Advisory Committee.

He added: "The Dadu Children's Museum of Qatar's first phase, Dadu Gardens, is a location where kids can learn about environmental protection, sustainability, and the green economy. It also promotes good health. To the founding family members, we express our appreciation for their kind gifts. As a result of the donor model upon which the Dadu, Children's Museum of Qatar is founded, the private sector, as well as community members, are allowed to actively contribute to the future prosperity of Qatar and its people".

The opening ceremony of Dadu Gardens was attended by representatives of the Dadu Founding Family, donors of QR3.65m or more to the project. Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Baladna, Baladiya, ConocoPhillips, DAAM, Eni, ExxonMobil, IntesaSanPaolo, Ooredoo, Shell, and SLB are presently members of the Dadu Founding Family.

Dadu Gardens invites kids and their families to take part in a number of activities during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 that is centered on the theme of nature and the environment. Dadu, the Children's Museum of Qatar, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, 321 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and the National Museum of Qatar are collaborating to provide exciting cultural programming to engage and educate the local community and visitors to Qatar.

Located on grounds with programming and event spaces, water features and different landscapes, an amphitheater, playgrounds, and picnic spots, Dadu Gardens serves as a showcase for Qatar Museums' dedication to sustainability. The community space includes a permaculture garden, a community garden, and an outdoor kitchen. Edible landscapes include a herb garden, vegetable crops, and fruit trees.

The Dadu Children's Museum of Qatar, a first-of-its-kind publicly sponsored national organization in Qatar, strives to provide the local community a sense of empowerment via its collaborative contributions to enhancing the cultural, natural, and social ecosystems in the nation.
