UAE Residents Can Now Get the UK Visa in 15 Days

For UAE residents, the visa processing time for travel to the UK has been reduced, which has resulted in an increase in passenger traffic to the UK.

In 2022, UAE residents were experiencing a lot of visa delays. This delay in the visa process was mainly because of the higher demand for travel to the UK. Furthermore, London Heathrow Airport imposed a passenger cap, which slowed down visa processing.

In the summer of 2022, many UAE residents canceled their travel plans to the UK because the visa processing time period exceeded seven weeks. London is a popular destination for UAE residents for long or short vacations, however last year, London Heathrow Airport capped departing passengers at 100,000 passengers per day also affected flights.

This year, VFS Global has stated that the UK visa processing time period has been cut down to 15 days and the "the turnaround time for Priority and Super Priority visas have likewise normalized".

Head of Marketing and Business Development at Cleartip Atish Thapa explained how Emirates and British Airways have reduced airfare costs, which had reached peak levels in 2022. UK immigration services are issuing visas in shorter periods of time because businessmen can get visas within 48 hours, however, it depends on the passenger's requirement. Therefore, this year is witnessing an increase in travel to the UK.

Mir Wasim Raja, manager of MICE & Holidays at Galadari International Travel Service assures that UK visas are being processed within the duration of 15 days to a month, which is faster compared to last year. As a result, there has been an increase in queries and bookings for travel to the UK; people are particularly booking flights during the Eid al Fitr holidays in April.

In May 2023, Emirates will resume its second daily service to Stansted. This travel routine will increase Emirates' flights to the UK to 11, which will include 6 flights to Heathrow and 3 to Gatwick. The A380 flights will also increase on July 30 with Emirates' return to Birmingham.
