UAE to Host 71st Miss World Pageant for the First Time

UAE will host the 71st edition of the internationally acclaimed Miss World pageant for the first time, Miss World Limited, the pageant's organizer, announced.

"I am delighted to announce the 71st Miss World Festival will be held in... THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES," Miss World Limited's Chairman, Julia Morley CBE, wrote in an Instagram post.

This will mark the beauty pageant's first foray into the Middle East.

However, the date and venue for the contest have not been announced yet. 

Puerto Rico hosted the last pageant in March 2022, during which Karolina Biewleska from Poland was crowned the 70th Miss World Polish beauty queen.

To enter the beauty pageant, contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 27, unmarried and childless.

The contestants also must be a resident of the country they represent.
