UAE-India Flights Just Got Cheaper After July 8 — Here’s Why

If you’re planning to fly to India from the UAE this July, you might want to wait until after the 8th. Airfares are dropping fast — and not just by a little. Roundtrip tickets that spiked to Dh2,800–Dh3,000 in early July are now dipping to as low as Dh1,161 for Mumbai, Dh1,604 for Bengaluru, and Dh1,565 for Thiruvananthapuram.

Flights from Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad are going for Dh735 — prices not seen since the post-pandemic travel slump of 2021–2022.

What’s behind the drop?

According to travel agents, monsoon season, shorter holiday trends, and a boost in flight options are driving the sudden dip in demand — and prices.

“People are flying home for shorter stays — around 10 to 15 days max,” said Sapna Aidasani of Pluto Travels. “They’re splitting up their travel across the year instead of taking long 2-month breaks.”

Vacation trends are shifting fast

Here’s what’s different this year:

  • Families are flying less in July–August due to monsoon concerns in Kerala.

  • Bachelors and couples are traveling off-peak for better deals.

  • Many are skipping the India trip altogether in favor of Azerbaijan, Schengen countries, and even Africa.

  • Work leaves are shorter, so travelers prefer multiple short holidays instead of one long break.

More flights, lower prices

Budget airlines like IndiGo and Akasa Air have added new UAE–India routes, especially from Abu Dhabi, making it easier (and cheaper) to fly. The increased availability is helping stabilize fares across popular routes.

But don’t wait too long—agents still recommend booking early as prices may rise closer to travel dates depending on demand.
