Abu Dhabi Roads to be Closed Ahead of the ADNOC Marathon

Abu Dhabi's roads will be closed ahead of the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16.

The announcement was made by Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Center (ITC) on their X page. 

Abu Dhabi Road Closures for the ADNOC Marathon

The following streets will be closed on the day of the marathon, according to the announcement:

  • King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street: 12:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Corniche Street: 2:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street: 3:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street: 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys by finding alternative routes to these roads.

ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon

The fifth edition of the ADNOC Marathon is expected to have 23,000 participants, including some of the top international runners.

The marathon is divided into five categories and participants can choose the one they find most suitable for themselves. 

Registration for the marathon is still open if you haven't gotten any plans for the weekend!
