If you’re a young Filipino in the UAE with a camera and a story to tell, this one’s for you. The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi has opened a photography contest in celebration of National Arts Month 2026, calling on Filipino youth to share their own take on courage—one photo at a time.

Theme: Courage Through the Lens

This year’s contest carries the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting”, which highlights how art can reflect truth, bravery, and collective effort. Participants are asked to visually answer one simple but powerful question: “What does courage look like to me?”

The embassy says entries can show anything from quiet acts of strength at home to moments of resilience, personal wins, or modern-day heroes in everyday life.

Who Can Join and What to Submit

The contest is open to Filipino children and teenagers in the UAE aged 8 to 17. Each participant may submit one original photograph, taken by the entrant.

Every photo must come with a short written description explaining the story behind the image.

Submission Details and Deadline

Entries should be sent in PNG format to abudhabi.pe@dfa.gov.ph.
The deadline for submissions is February 18, 2026.

Selected winners will be featured by the Philippine Embassy and will receive special awards.
