Residents in the UAE should prepare for unstable weather conditions and rainfall on Thursday, May 2, according to forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Here's what to expect:

Rainfall and Storms

Convective clouds are anticipated to develop, causing moderate to heavy rains in various areas. These rains could be accompanied by lightning and thunder at times, with a chance of hail as well.

Forecast Timeline

The weather changes are expected to start from the western region by Wednesday night and spread across most parts of the country on Thursday. The western, coastal, and some eastern areas will be the most affected. Additionally, temperatures may decrease significantly.

Wind and Visibility

The country will experience an extension of low-pressure systems, resulting in humid southeasterly winds. Wind speeds could vary from moderate to fresh, potentially strengthening with cloud cover. This may lead to blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility. Wind speeds are projected to range from 25 to 35 km/hr, with gusts up to 65 km/hr in some areas.

Sea Conditions

The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience rough to very rough sea conditions, while the Oman Sea will see moderate to rough seas.
