Forget clear blue skies—this week’s bringing drama. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says parts of the UAE will see heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and even hail on Wednesday and Thursday.

Where It’ll Hit

Expect the stormy mix mostly in Fujairah and Al Ain, with a chance of it creeping inland too. These conditions are linked to a low-pressure system pushing the intertropical convergence zone closer to the UAE—aka the recipe for storm clouds.

What to Watch Out For

The NCM says convective clouds will form, bringing rain in bursts. Some areas might see lightning, thunder, and small hail, so keep an umbrella handy (and maybe a jacket).

Fog and Mist Still Around

If that’s not enough, fog already caused low visibility on Tuesday morning, and more mist is expected on Wednesday. Drive safe—roads could get tricky.

Hot but Cooler Nights

Daytime temps aren’t budging much, staying above 40°C. But there’s a small win—nights are dipping below 30°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering a break from the scorching summer heat.
