BLUE JADE AT THE RITZ-CARLTON, DUBAI JBR LAUNCHES FIRST EVER EVENING BRUNCH – SAIGON SOCIAL

Guests can expect delectable Vietnamese delights, a refreshing selection of beverages and unparalleled service at the city’s latest Thursday night brunch

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 3 August 2021 – This August, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai at The Walk, JBR will mark the launch of a new Vietnamese themed signature evening brunch experience at the much-loved dining institution - Blue Jade.

The Saigon Social brunch will launch to guests on Thursday 5 August 2021 and will take connoisseurs of Asian cuisine, on a culinary journey from the tranquil waters of the historic Saigon River, across the breath-taking islands of Ha Long Bay, via the bustling backstreets of Hanoi to modern day Ho Chi Minh City’s trendy District 1 and District 4. Featuring a sharing style menu, with signature dishes, succulent street food and a modern take on classic Vietnamese cuisine, this Asian inspired brunch was conceptualized by Chef Ta Van Houng, Chef De Cuisine at Blue Jade. Chef Ta Van has led Blue Jade since its inception in 2013. Born and raised in the northern part of Vietnam, he was instrumental in crafting the restaurant’s one-of-a-kind Pan-Asian dining experience, which is all about celebrating the mystique and authenticity of Asian cuisine in a single resort setting.

With interiors reflecting vibrant French-Vietnamese architecture and design touches such as colourful street scenery, traditional bicycles and evocative hanging lanterns, the brunch brings to life the authentic corners and hidden passages in Vietnam, in particular Ho Chi Minh City, still referred to colloquially as Saigon.

Guests can choose to dine alfresco on Blue Jade’s terrace adorned with brightly coloured accents, reminiscent of the Saigon Riverbanks, overlooking the tropical gardens of the resort and the Arabian Gulf, or sit inside Blue Jade resplendent with bright street scenes and traditional bamboo design touches. The restaurant boasts expansive wooden windows opening onto the terrace, whilst the open kitchen provides diners with an exemplary spectacle - a showcase of culinary artistry by the chefs as they prepare the dishes.

Inspired by the vibrant sights and sounds of Ho Chi Minh City, the new brunch offers an elevated take on Vietnamese specialities, with dishes such as Pho Bò (Vietnamese National Noodle Soup) and Goi Cuon Tôm Thit (Seafood Cold Rolls) on offer, alongside mouth-watering dishes such as Cá Nướng Lá sen (Ginger Lotus Sea Bass) and Bò lúc lắc (Stir Fried Beef Tenderloin), Ga Nuong La Chanh (Grilled Marinated Chicken with Lime Leaves).

In homage to the Vietnamese coffee shop culture guests can sample a traditional egg coffee upon arrival. Saigon Social will also boast a wide selection of sweet dishes such as Nem CuỐi Chiên (Crispy Banana Spring Roll), and Xoi Dua (Pandan sticky rice with coconut milk) served up alongside exotic fruit platters.

The meticulously selected dishes coupled with The Ritz-Carlton’s unparalleled service promises to delight UAE’s food gourmands. Complete with live entertainment, including a fusion take on the vibrant hand pan, guests can prepare to experience a lively and unforgettable Thursday night.
