Dubai: 73% of Indian Schools Received Good or Higher Ratings by KHDA

According to the information given by Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the percentage of schools rated as "very good" increased from 37% in 2019–20 to 42% this year.

A parent summary report will soon be provided to parents and made accessible through the KHDA online directory. Information on student learning, teaching quality, and well-being provisions will be included in the report.

Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA stated, “The improvement shown in this year’s inspection results are testament to the commitment of teachers and school leaders at Indian and Pakistani curriculum schools in Dubai. That more than three-quarters of schools were found to have high well-being provision speaks to the importance that schools and parents place on giving students a well-rounded education that prepares them for a healthy and prosperous future.”

The first in-person inspection post the covid-19 pandemic of 32 Indian and two Pakistani private schools in Dubai resulted in one school receiving an "outstanding" rating and ten receiving a "very good" rating. This year, 13 schools also received an "acceptable" rating.

In comparison to 2019–20, 85% of the 5,254 students with learning disabilities who attended Indian schools in Dubai are enrolled in schools that provide good or better educational opportunities.

Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau, Fatma Belrehif said, “It’s great news that the quality of education provided by schools has continued to improve since the last full inspection cycle. We look forward to seeing further improvement across all Indian and Pakistani curriculum schools."
