How UK Supermarkets Are Eliminating Single-Use Plastic

According to guidance published by Defra, via GOV.UK, the government’s mandatory ban on single-use plastics, particularly their directives for non-recycled plastic cutlery, plates, and expanded polystyrene, has required British supermarkets to innovate their entire retail systems. Major UK supermarkets are launching rapid packaging innovations and plastic alternative packaging for supply chains to comply with new nationwide regulations and reduce consumption of plastics.
