Keeta Drone Marks One Year of Fast, Low-Emission Deliveries Across Dubai

Keeta Drone has successfully completed one year of commercial operations in Dubai, playing a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s smart-city and urban logistics ambitions.

Since its launch in December 2024, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the company has delivered hundreds of orders via rapid drone flights, covering key areas like Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and Nad Al Sheba, providing residents with a faster, safer, and sustainable delivery option.

A landmark achievement for Keeta Drone was obtaining Dubai’s first Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) commercial drone delivery licence in late 2024. This milestone signalled a major leap forward for the UAE’s drone ecosystem and has enabled Keeta to expand multiple delivery routes across the city. The drones are specifically engineered to operate in Dubai’s challenging conditions, including high winds, sand, and temperatures exceeding 50°C.

Dubai aims to cover 30% of the city with drone deliveries by 2026, and 70% within the next five years, according to Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).

Over the past year, Keeta Drone has launched its standalone app, allowing customers to order directly from popular brands like Halla Shawarma and Baskin-Robbins, with plans to onboard additional restaurants throughout 2026.

To celebrate its first anniversary, Keeta Drone hosted pop-ups and community initiatives across Dubai, featuring interactive games and giveaways, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and social engagement.
