Temperature Climbs to Record 50.1°C in UAE

The nation's hottest temperature, 50.1°C, was recorded on Friday, July 14th, at 14:30 UAE local time near Bida Dafas in the Al Dhafra area of Abu Dhabi.

The lowest temperature was recorded in Farfar in Fujairah, 25.3°C, at 6.30 am.

The nation experienced an increase in temperature on Saturday, July 15th, with Wateed in Al Dhafra recording 49.1°C at 13:45 in the afternoon, 48.8°C at 15:30 in the afternoon for Al Jazeera Border Guard, 48.7°C in Al Shawamekh in Abu Dhabi at 16:00 in the afternoon, and 48.4°C in Mezaira'a at 14:45 in the afternoon.

Weather was predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to be fair to partly overcast on Sunday, July 16th, with a probability of cumulus cloud formation in the afternoon in the east.

There will be light to moderate winds blowing out of the southeast, changing to the northwest, and occasionally being active while kicking up dust. These winds will have speeds between 10 and 25, or 40 km per hour.

The weather on Monday, July 17th, will be clear to partly cloudy and dusty at times, with possibility of low clouds formation on the eastern coast in the morning. 

The NCM predicted that winds would be light to moderate, occasionally active, and kicking up dust throughout the day. It also said that waves would be light in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
