Saudi to Design the World's Fastest Roller Coaster

The world’s fastest roller coaster currently resides in Ferrari World, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital. But there are plans to break it’s record as ‘The Falcon Flight’ is set to become the world's fastest roller coaster.

Saudi’s Qiddiya has begun the design process for the Falcon’s Flight, which is set to become the signature attraction of the Six Flags Qiddiya theme park.

The Falcon’s Flight is set to become the world’s longest, fastest and tallest coaster. Travelling across 4km, the roller coaster features a vertical cliff dive into a 160m-deep valley using magnetic motor acceleration, and achieve speeds of more than 250 km/h.

During the three-minute ride, up to 20 passengers will experience electromagnetic propulsion launch systems as well as panoramic views of the theme park.

The park will be a new city built outside of Riyadh and designed to become a center for entertainment, sports and the arts as it’s scheduled to open 2023.
