UAE Allows Expats with Expired Residency to Return Until March 31

The United Arab Emirates has announced a temporary measure allowing residents with expired visas to return to the country.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security said that expats whose residency visas have expired will be allowed to re-enter the UAE until March 31.

No New Entry Permit Required

Authorities clarified that eligible residents will not need to apply for a new entry permit in order to return.

The move is aimed at helping residents who were unable to travel back to the UAE due to recent travel disruptions.

Officials advised residents to check with airlines and relevant authorities before travelling to ensure smooth entry procedures.
