What is the Minimum Top-up Amount for Nol Cards in 2024?

Starting from January 15th, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a revision to the minimum top-up amount for Nol cards, setting it at Dh20, as per a tweet on Friday.

This marks an increase from the previous minimum top-up of Dh5. Additionally, commuters are advised to maintain a balance of Dh15 on their Nol card for a round trip on the Dubai Metro transit network.

The Nol card, a prepaid smart card, serves as a convenient means of payment for public transport services in Dubai, covering modes such as the Dubai Metro, buses, trams, and waterbuses.

Moreover, it can be utilized for taxi fares, parking, entry to Dubai public parks, the Etihad Museum, and transactions at over 2,000 shops, restaurants, and stores throughout the city.

To recharge Nol cards, individuals can utilize various methods, including RTA ticket vending machines, solar top-up machines, and the Nol Pay app for virtual cards. Furthermore, RTA offers the Nol Plus loyalty and rewards program, enabling cardholders to accumulate points and enjoy exclusive benefits when using their Nol card for Dubai Metro rides, taxi fares, public buses, or parking fees.

Loyalty points earned can be redeemed for Nol account top-ups or utilized for discounts at participating restaurants and stores.
