Here's When Dubai Schools Will Open for 2023-2024 School Year

The little ones will return to school in Dubai for the 2023-2024 academic year on Monday, August 28th.

While continuing to adhere to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) guidelines, schools in Dubai are permitted to provide some leeway with regard to the dates of their terms as long as they complete the minimum number of school days.

The minimum number of school days is 188 days for the Ministry of Education curriculum and 182 days for international curriculum.

Here are the expected dates and holidays for the next school year:

• August 28th: First day of academic year 2023-2024
• September 29th: Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday (tentative date)
• October 23th to 27th: Half term
• December 1st: Commemoration day
• December 11th to January 2nd, 2024: Winter break
• March 25th to April 15th, 2024: Spring break
• June 17th to 18th: Eid Al Adha (tentative date)
• June 28th: End of academic year
