The 6th largest jewellery retailer in the world Malabar Gold & Diamonds has appointed Bollywood star Alia Bhatt as their new brand ambassador.

Alia Bhatt is a popular actress in Bollywood with a list of hits and blockbusters under her belt as well as her upcoming Hollywood debut in the 'Heart of Stone'.

The announcement was made for the 30th anniversary of the Malabar Group, which first launched in 1993. The jeweller has retail outlets in GCC countries like the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait as well as other countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and the USA.

As a brand ambassador, Alia Bhatt will bring a global outlook to the brand as it aims to launch in new markets like the UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey, and New Zealand.
