Penélope Cruz is the New Brand Ambassador for Emirates

Spanish film actress and Academy Award winner Penélope Cruz was announced as the new brand ambassador for the Emirates airline on Thursday, May 25th.

Cruz will be featured in the airline's advertisement campaigns across TV commercials from June 2023. The ads will run in English and the actress' native language Spanish. 

The campaign video that Emirates has shared shows Cruz using various onboard services in the first class and business class of an Emirates A380 flight.

The actress is also shown enjoying the services of the Premium Economy class cabins. 

Senior Vice President of Brand and Advertising at Emirates Richard Billington said "We take care of every detail in the Emirates experience and wanted a brand ambassador who reflects the Emirates brand – it needed to be someone classy, stylish, and having modern global appeal. Penelope was the perfect fit.”

The ad campaign was directed by Robert Stromberg, a double Oscar-winning Hollywood director and visual effects specialist, who has worked for popular films like Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. 

Cruz follows Hollywood stars Jennifer Anniston and Chris Hemsworth in becoming the face of the airline.
