UAE air defences successfully intercepted 8 ballistic missiles and 26 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in an extensive security operation on Tuesday. The Ministry of Defence reported a total of 9 ballistic missiles detected, with 8 destroyed and 1 falling harmlessly into the sea. Furthermore, 35 UAVs were identified, of which 26 were intercepted, while 9 landed within the UAE's territory.

Unprecedented Iranian Missile and UAV Attacks

Since the onset of Iranian aggression, UAE authorities have detected a staggering 262 ballistic missiles. Out of these, 241 were neutralized by defence systems, 19 fell into the sea, and 2 impacted within the nation's borders. The assault also included 1,475 Iranian UAVs, with 1,385 successfully intercepted and 90 falling inside the country’s territory. The UAE air defences further destroyed 8 cruise missiles targeting the region.

In addition, 122 individuals sustained injuries ranging from moderate to minor. Those injured include citizens from various countries such as UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, the Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, and Palestine.
