UAE Air Defences Intercept 6 Missiles and 125 Iranian Drones on March 5

The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that the country’s air defence systems successfully intercepted six out of seven ballistic missiles and 125 out of 131 Iranian drones detected today, March 5th. One missile and six drones fell within UAE territory.
Continuous Threat Detection
Since the start of the Iranian aggression, UAE air defences have:

Detected 196 ballistic missiles; destroyed 181, 13 fell into the sea, 2 landed in the UAE

Detected 1,072 drones; successfully intercepted 1,001, 71 fell within UAE

Detected and destroyed 8 cruise missiles
The ministry stressed that all systems remain fully operational and ready to respond to ongoing threats.
Casualties and Injuries
The attacks so far have resulted in three fatalities among Pakistani, Nepali, and Bangladeshi nationals, and 94 minor injuries affecting people of multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Filipino, and others.
