The federal employees' shifts will be 70% remote and 30% in-person attendance on Fridays during the month of Ramadan, according to a directive issued on Wednesday by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has instructed Dubai government organizations to establish a remote working system on Fridays during the Holy Month of Ramadan in line with the President of the UAE's directives.

Working hours during Ramadan will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, with the exception of those workers whose jobs require them to work a different shift schedule.

Furthermore, the President has announced that on Fridays, students in universities and public schools may work remotely. The dates of the scheduled physical examinations will be taken into consideration when this is followed during Ramadan.

Ministry and federal authorities can implement flexible working or remote work schedules throughout Ramadan in accordance with their particular requirements, as advised by the Federal Administration for Government Human Resources (FAHR).
