Dubai-Bound Supervisor Among Victims in Deadly Crash at NAIA

A 29-year-old man on his way to Dubai for a work trip was one of the two people killed in an SUV crash at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Sunday.

The victim, Dearick Keo Faustino, worked as a senior supervisor at a publishing company and was scheduled to fly out with his colleagues for a six-day business trip.

Victim was hit while trying to help

According to his uncle, Ferdinand Nicolas, Faustino arrived at the airport around 8 a.m. with two co-workers for their noon flight. While the group was unloading luggage, Faustino offered to fetch a trolley. Moments later, an SUV sped toward the driveway area and struck him.

He was declared dead after the incident. His body has been brought back to his hometown in Hagonoy, Bulacan.

A life cut short

Faustino was known to be a family man with big dreams. He was set to turn 30 on May 29.

“Mahirap kasi marami siyang pangarap para sa kaniyang pamilya,” his uncle shared in an interview, expressing the family’s grief over the sudden loss.
