Farhan Akhtar Announces Ranveer Singh as the Main Lead of 'Don 3'

Indian actor and director Farhan Akhtar has announced popular Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as the main lead for his upcoming film 'Don 3'.

Akhtar shared a teaser on his Twitter, captioned "A New Era Begins #Don3".

The video begins with a man facing the view of a metropolitan city. 

The unknown protagonist walks towards the floor-to-ceiling windows and lights up a cigarette and after a fade out, the video reveals Ranveer Singh who says "I am Don".

Akhtar tweeted yesterday "I had a great time creating not one but two, ‘Don’ films with Shah Rukh and both experiences remain very close to my heart."

He also confirmed that the previous and popular 'Don' franchise star Shah Rukh Khan will be replaced by "an actor whose talent and versatility [he has] long admired".

The film is expected to release in 2025.
