Free Parking in Abu Dhabi For Eid Al Fitr 2023 Holidays

The Department of Municipalities and Transport's Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi announced on Wednesday that residents will be able to park for free during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

From Thursday, April 20, to the end of the holiday, there will be no surface parking fees for Mawaqif. During the Eid holiday, the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot's charges will also be waived, according to the ITC.

Starting on Thursday, the Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed, Al Maqta, and Mussaffah bridges' Darb toll gates will not be charged throughout the holiday period. Following the Eid vacation, the toll gate fees will be reactivated between the hours of 7 am and 9 am and 5 pm and 7 pm.

Drivers are advised by the ITC not to hinder traffic by parking in prohibited locations. ITC has also advised drivers to park appropriately in the allotted areas and avoid residential parking spaces from 9 pm to 8 am.

Public bus services in the emirate will run on a regular schedule over the Eid break, with the decision to expand the number of regional bus journeys in accordance with the demands for the service. The ITC has also coordinated with private sector operators to increase the number of intercity bus routes.

Throughout the holiday period, the on-demand bus service Abu Dhabi Link and the Abu Dhabi Express will run from 6 am to 11 pm.
