Dubai Announces Free Parking for Eid Al Fitr 2024

Dubai's Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled plans to offer complimentary parking throughout the city during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr celebrations in 2024. Alongside this initiative, the RTA has also introduced changes to public transport schedules and service provider timings to accommodate the festive period.

Here's a comprehensive breakdown of the announced adjustments:

Free Parking

From 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal, Dubai residents and visitors can enjoy complimentary parking across the city. While the parking exemption spans from Monday, April 8, corresponding to 29 Ramadan, until either Thursday, April 11, or Friday, April 12, marked as 3 Shawwal, it's important to note that multi-storey parking facilities are excluded from this offer.

  • Monday, April 8, to Saturday, April 13: 5 am to 1 am (the following day)

For marine transport, including abras and ferries, passengers are encouraged to refer to the official RTA website for updated schedules.

RTA Centres

While all Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed throughout the Eid Al Fitr holidays, Smart Customers Centres located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the RTA Head Office will maintain their standard 24/7 operational hours.

Service Providers Centres (Vehicle Testing) will observe closure from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal, resuming operations on 4 Shawwal following the conclusion of the holiday period.

As Dubai prepares to celebrate Eid Al Fitr, these adjustments by the RTA aim to enhance convenience and accessibility for residents and tourists alike during the festive occasion.
