Fully electric vehicles (EVs) represent a groundbreaking 25% of all new UK car registrations in H1 2026, pushing the total number of zero-emission cars on British roads over 2 million, according to the latest official figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and Zapmap.
