UAE's New Police Vehicle Will Launch Drones and Charge EVs

Coming soon to a highway near you: a mobile police station that can launch drones and give your electric car a quick boost when the battery dies.

Yep, this is the future—UAE-style.

Eneron, a UAE-based tactical mobility company under Kenstongi, just revealed their hybrid innovation, Magnus. It’s not your average patrol car—this high-tech, locally made vehicle will act as a roving command centre, complete with drone launch capability and mobile EV charging.

Expected to officially hit the streets between 2027 and 2028, Magnus has been developed in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police to meet specific operational needs. The vehicle is currently being showcased at the Make it in the Emirates exhibition at ADNEC, running from May 11 to 22, 2025.

Waleed Alblooshi, Eneron’s senior corporate communications manager, explained the vision behind it to Khaleej Times: “There will be a driver and a command officer inside the vehicle. The officer will be able to deploy drones from within the vehicle for monitoring and inspection purposes. It will function as a mobile police station.”

And the tech specs? Pretty wild. The vehicle can travel up to 900km on a hybrid engine, operate autonomously off-road, and comes loaded with 360-degree surveillance cameras and real-time data tools. Oh, and if your EV runs out of juice in the middle of nowhere? Magnus has your back—with built-in charging for electric vehicles on the move.

Alblooshi added, “It can operate autonomously off-road and be controlled remotely. It’s equipped with multiple cameras providing a 360-degree view and real-time data for surveillance.”

With the UAE pushing for greener transport and smart mobility, this dual-purpose ride is looking like a game-changer. So the next time you spot a futuristic-looking vehicle with a drone hovering overhead—it’s probably Magnus keeping things cool, connected, and charged.
