Rise in Early Childhood Center Enrolment in Dubai

A rise in early childhood center preference is evident in Dubai, with a 15% surge in enrollment reported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

The recent data highlights an increase to nearly 250 centers, including 27 newly opened in the past year, accommodating over 23,500 children—an increase of 3,000 compared to the previous year.

The facilities are supported by a dedicated staff, including 1,473 teachers, around 2,200 teaching assistants, 522 care assistants, 101 inclusion support staff, and 189 medical staff.

Parents have a diverse range of choices, with 14 curricula and learning approaches available, and instruction in languages such as Arabic, English, French, Spanish, or Russian. The majority of enrolled children (66%) are aged between two and four, with almost 80% attending five days a week.
