Astronomers have just solved an enigmatic seven-hour burst of energy in deep space, thereby ending months of speculation on the cause of the burst. The signal was particularly notable due to its length and repetitive nature, which were also inconsistent with the events found in the universe. Through extensive investigation, scientists found out that the burst was caused by the combination of a very magnetic neutron star and its surroundings in a rare interaction process.
