Why Mangoes Are the Star of Summer

Mangoes are a big deal in the UAE during summer. Many residents make multiple trips to fruit stands just to find the sweetest, juiciest mangoes of the season. This love for mangoes drives demand and makes festivals like this a must-visit for fruit lovers.

Supporting Local Farmers and Agriculture

The festival isn’t just about eating mangoes. It’s also a platform to honour local farmers and their efforts to boost the region’s agricultural output. Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations at Sharjah Chamber, highlighted how important it is for government and farmers to work together to make the festival a success and to promote local farming.
