The interviewer looked me dead in the eyes and told me: “Why don’t you walk out the door, not only because you’re not going to get this job, but also because you actually don’t want this job. You’re not a writer and you’ll never be. Prove me wrong.” I sat there fuming and ready to both punch this man in the face and hug him. I really had nothing to show for him.
