Anas Bukhash, Alaa El Sheikh, Mohamed Helmy Attend Dubai PodFest

Emirati entrepreneur and interviewer Anas Bukhash, as well as Egyptian stand-up comedians Alaa El Sheikh, and Mohamed Helmy attended the third edition of the Dubai PodFest, the region's leading event dedicated to podcasting, on Tuesday, May 16th, at the Dubai Press Club.

The event was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

Dubai PodFest featured other prominent podcasters, and audio content creators, including such as Becher Najjar, and Sumaya JB.

The event discussed the future of podcasting in the region and examined fresh strategies to accelerate the growth of the sector. 

It also featured a series of side activities, including workshops, live podcasts, and a fireside chat on the podcasting industry in the region.

During the event, podcasting industry experts shared insights, knowledge and expertise on critical elements in the industry such as content creation, and audience engagement.

The name podcast derives from a combination of iPod and broadcast. It is an audio programme disseminated over the internet.
