This decision comes in response to the ongoing conflict in the region, which has disrupted flights and closed airspace, making it difficult for many Iranians to return home. The UAE’s move aims to ease the burden on affected individuals during these challenging times.

The ICP reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian values and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors in the country. Iranian nationals eligible for the exemption are encouraged to register via the ICP Smart Services Platform or visit any customer happiness centre across the UAE.
