UAE National Day: Umm Al Quwain Offers 50% Discount on Traffic Fines

The General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police has announced that Umm Al Quwain residents can benefit from a significant 50% discount on traffic violations committed in the emirate before November 1st, 2023, as part of a special initiative for the UAE National Day.

This limited-time discount, applicable from December 1st, 2023, to January 7th, 2024, encompasses a wide range of traffic violations, encouraging individuals to clear their outstanding fines during this period.

The initiative aims to create a safer road environment and promote adherence to traffic regulations

However, it's essential to note that certain severe infractions are excluded from this discount.

Violations such as driving recklessly, posing a threat to life, safety, or public and private facilities, making changes to the vehicle engine or base without a license, overtaking red lights (by heavy vehicles, light vehicles, and motorcycles), and exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than 80 km/h are not eligible for the 50% discount.

The initiative aligns with Umm Al Quwain's commitment to fostering a culture of responsibility and compliance with traffic rules.

Residents are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to settle their fines at a reduced cost, contributing to a safer and more disciplined road environment in the emirate.
