50% Discount Announced on Municipal Fines in This Emirate

A 50% discount has been announced by Sharjah on fines charged for municipal violations.

On any municipal fines issued in the emirate prior to September 5th, the discount initiative is valid for 90 days.

The scheme was unveiled at a Sharjah Executive Council meeting, which also authorized a program to help homeowners in the emirate who had been impacted by natural calamities.

The meeting was presided over by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Executive Council. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, were also in attendance. On Tuesday morning, the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah met at His Highness the Ruler's office.

The assistance is being provided by the Department of Social Services.
