Abu Dhabi Offers 35% Traffic Fine Discount

Abu Dhabi Police has announced details of up to 35 percent discount on traffic fines in the emirate.

The discounts are offered as part of the emirate's "Initiate and Benefit" initiative and are available when traffic fines are paid on time.

While payments can be made in installments with no interest, the discount does not apply to serious traffic violations.

When a fine is paid in full within 60 days of the violation, a discount of 35 percent is offered, with a discount of 25 percent for fines paid within a year.

In a message on social media, Abu Dhabi Police said: “A discount of 35 percent is applicable if the traffic fine is paid within the initial 60 days from the violation date.

“However, this discount does not apply to severe violations. A discount of 25% is applicable if payment is made after 60 days but within one year from the date the traffic fine was issued.

“Traffic fines can be paid in installments through banks with a zero interest rate for a period of 12 months”.

In partnership with chosen banks linked with the authority, interest-free installment plans for a 12-month term are also available, providing the credit card is issued by one of the listed lenders which are:

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB)
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB)
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB)
Emirates Islamic Bank
Mashreq Al Islami Bank

How to pay your fines?

Go to the Abu Dhabi Police Department's official website.
Enter your vehicle registration number and Emirates ID information.
To ensure secure access, complete the captcha image.
You will see a list of all the fines you have racked up, along with any applicable discounts.
On the website, use your credit or debit card to complete the transaction.
