UN Climate Scientist Says 'COP28 is Making Progress'

United Nations' top climate expert Jim Skea says that the COP28 is "making progress" after the first week of the climate conference in the UAE

The professor said, "We’ve seen a lot of progress on the first day with the loss and damage fund being established. So we definitely have seen achievements."

The climate expert also stated, "You just need to walk around Cop – this is quite an inclusive Cop in terms of the range of people who are there."

Skea is the Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The IPCC analyzes and evaluates the world's knowledge to give back authoritative facts.

Since the start of COP28, Skea has been meeting leaders in Dubai and discussing IPCC's next review cycle.
