What is the Pre-Approved Visa-on-Arrival for Indian Passport Holders?

Emirates introduced a pre-approved visa-on-arrival service for select Indian passport holders, accessible to those who have booked flights with the airline.

This initiative, providing a 14-day single-entry visa, allows eligible travelers to bypass arrival queues in Dubai. The Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), managed by VFS Global and designated by Emirates Airline, handles the application process for UAE visas.

Indian passport holders with at least six months' validity can obtain a visa-on-arrival in the UAE if they possess a US visa, green card, or valid EU/UK residency for six months. Since 2017, eligible travelers have received on-arrival visas at UAE airports.

Emirates introduced a pre-approved visa service for customers, costing $47 plus an $18.50 service fee. Emirates streamlines the process while the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs decides visa issuance.

After booking, customers access the visa application link through 'Manage an existing booking.' The application, powered by VFS Global Services, outlines requirements and conditions.

Dubai recorded 2 million Indian visitors from January to October 2023. Emirates, serving nine Indian destinations with 167 weekly flights, aims to enhance travel ease for its passengers.
