Wizz Air Announces New Direct Flights Between Abu Dhabi and Cairo

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced a new route connecting the United Arab Emirates to Sphinx International Airport in Cairo, Egypt.

The new flights will begin on November 1st, 2023, and they will operate on Wednesday and Sunday.

The new route aims at providing affordable, hassle-free travel experience for tourists and residents in both Egypt and the UAE.

Johan Eidhagen, Managing Director of Wizz Air AD, said: "The new route between Abu Dhabi and Cairo will enable our customers to explore both countries through hassle-free travel experiences.

"We are proud to support both the UAE and Egypt’s long-term economic visions and to continue expanding our network and offerings in the Middle East region."

Meanwhile, Maureen Bannerman, Chief Commercial Officer of AD Airports, said: "We look forward to supporting Wizz Air Abu Dhabi towards further growth in the future."

On a separate note, the airline also added its 10th aircraft to the fleet.
