What They Found

According to police, the team found a 75mm projectile explosive and a Type 79 Japanese hand grenade while digging a septic tank at around 3:15 PM on Pedro Gil Street.
Authorities warned that these old explosives are still dangerous, despite their rusty appearance. The 75mm bomb alone has a casualty radius of 16 meters, meaning it could cause serious damage if detonated.

What Happens Next?

The explosives are now safely stored at a secure facility and will be disposed of by detonation soon, according to the Manila Police District’s EOD K9 Unit.
