About Al Gaffal Race

Al Gaffal Long Distance Race has shone in the world of marine sports since its launch on May 23, 1991, in the implementation of the vision of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Today, Al Gaffal Race celebrates its 31st anniversary, which has continued over these years to revive the marine heritage of the people of the Emirates and embody it in the eyes of young people at the present time.

Al Gaffal Race Course

Skilled sailors and divers sail for a distance of 60 ft extending from Sir Bu Nair to Dubai shores on a group of local heritage boats to revive the marine history of the UAE and the tradition of pearl diving practiced by their ancestors.
