Authorities in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra Region have initiated a rigorous effort to address the issue of abandoned vehicles in the emirate. Leaving cars behind constitutes a violation that results in a Dh3,000 penalty and seizure of the vehicle.

Municipal teams have commenced an awareness initiative and increased inspections in order to remove deserted cars from public areas and parking lots. Authorities are also emphasizing the regulations that need to be adhered to in order to avert potential health risks.

Photographs released by the state-operated news agency Wam depict officers affixing stickers onto dusty cars that have been parked in yards for extended periods. Several of these vehicles are located in parking areas, while others are positioned in front of residences.
