Traveling with your pet from the UAE just got a lot smoother.

Emirates SkyCargo has launched a dedicated pet transport team to manage the entire process for animal travel—taking care of bookings, paperwork, and coordination from start to finish.

One team handling it all

Instead of juggling multiple steps on your own, pet owners can now rely on a single team to oversee the whole journey.

The service covers everything—from your first inquiry to the moment your pet is safely handed over at the destination. It’s designed to make the process faster and more organized, especially as flight schedules can still change.

How the booking process works

It starts with securing space for your pet on a flight.

Once availability is confirmed, you’ll receive a quotation based on your pet’s weight and space on board. After accepting the quote, you’ll need to complete all required documents at least 72 hours before departure.

Documents you’ll need

The paperwork is a key part of pet travel—and yes, it’s quite a list.

Pet owners are required to submit:

  • Photos of the pet

  • Vaccination records

  • Microchip details

  • Health certificates

Depending on where your pet is heading, you may also need destination-specific approvals, like entry permits for the EU or the UK. Some breeds may require additional clearances too.
