Social networking sites have shared videos of the "arrival" of the preacher Dr. Zakir Naik to the State of Qatar, one day before the start of the 2022 World Cup.

Dr. Zakir Naik appears in the video, published 4 days ago, as he walks alongside security personnel the moment he arrives in Qatar, which is preparing for the start of the World Cup today, Sunday.

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik is a well-known Indian Islamic Sheikh and Preacher, founder, and president of the Islamic Research Foundation. He is also the founder of Peace Channel.

Several social media users, including journalists and influencers, said that the State of Qatar had invited the preacher Zakir Naik to give religious lectures during the World Cup.

In this context, Faisal Al-Hajri, a TV presenter on Al-Kass Sports channels, wrote that the preacher Sheikh Zakir Naik is in Qatar during the World Cup period and will give many religious lectures throughout the World Cup.

The Organizing Committee for the 2022 World Cup revealed several murals in the streets of the Qatari capital, Doha, that included prophetic hadiths translated into English, to introduce the Islamic religion to audiences from different countries of the world.

The State of Qatar also decided to permanently ban alcohol from stadiums and their surroundings during the 2022 World Cup matches.

And the International Federation of the game announced the ban on selling alcoholic beverages to fans in the vicinity of the eight stadiums of the Qatar World Cup 2022, which starts tomorrow, Sunday, after “discussions” with the host country.

A statement by FIFA said, on its official website, that “following discussions between the authorities in the host country and FIFA, a decision was taken to concentrate the sale of alcoholic beverages inside the Fan Festival and other spaces designated for fans and facilities that have a license to do so.”
