Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi during his two-day visit.

The leaders shared a hug, capturing the camaraderie between them. The visit aims to strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership, with talks spanning trade, investment, defense, security, food and energy security, and education. PM Modi expressed the growth of cooperation over the last nine years and highlighted the strong cultural and people-to-people connections.

During the visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi, the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir. The temple, located in Abu Mureikhah, is spread over 27 acres of land donated by the UAE government. Construction started in 2019, making it the largest Hindu temple in the Gulf region. PM Modi views the temple as a symbol of harmony, peace, and tolerance shared by India and the UAE.

The visit marks PM Modi's seventh to the UAE since 2015, emphasizing the significance of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The trip includes wide-ranging discussions with UAE leaders, further enhancing diplomatic ties.

The grand reception, Guard of Honour, and the inauguration of the BAPS Mandir underscore the importance of the visit in fostering strong relations between India and the UAE.
