UAE Movement Restriction Imposed for the Unvaccinated

Last week, it has been announced by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authorities (NCEMA) in the UAE that unvaccinated residents may face some movement restrictions in the UAE.

This decision has been imposed as NCEMA announced that those unvaccinated will not be eligible to attend the UAE President’s Cup.

Aside from vaccinations if you are eager to attend then you must present a negative result taken 48 hours prior to the match and have the letter E in their vaccination app.

The UAE no doubt is one of the countries that were able to take action against Covid-19, as the fight to combat Covid-19 still continues, Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, the official spokesperson of NCEMA said that, “The UAE managed to reach this advanced position regionally and globally, thanks to the preventive measures it took since the beginning of the crisis, as it dealt with the pandemic effectively, while not disrupting business and societal affairs.”

As known until recently the UAE was able to administer more than 10 million vaccine doses, the vaccines are available all across the country for free. Part of the UAE’s ongoing success in handling the pandemic is also the variety of vaccines offered. Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik, and the Oxford-AstraZenca vaccines are all available in the UAE.
