The UAE announced new travel-related safety measures starting April 19 during the government's COVID-19 media briefing on Wednesday.

Unvaccinated Emiratis will be allowed to travel abroad by presenting a negative result of a PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure. They must also complete a travel application form on the Al Hosn app.

Authorities also confirmed that unvaccinated travellers under the age of 16 will not be required to present a negative PCR test result on arrival.
